Russian Language & Literature Minor
for the Undergraduate Minor in Russian Language & Literature
A minor in Russian language and literature may be useful and enriching for students in many disciplines, from economics and political science through comparative literature and theater to engineering and mathematics. The 18- to 20-hour program listed below provides considerable flexibility within a general structure. Additional information may be obtained from the undergraduate advisor in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures.

for the Undergraduate Minor in Russian Language & Literature
- Proficiency in the target language associated with the minor track of at least intermediate level on the ACTFL scale, with some control of intermediate high functions.
- Improved and effective writing and communication skills in the English language.
- Coherent knowledge and functional grasp of the culture(s) and history(ies) of the region or regions and peoples targeted by the minor track.
- Analytical and interpretive abilities making use of the critical tools and methodologies taught in our courses of literary and cultural study.
